Jessica Anderson

LPC-Associate under the Supervision of Jessica Bright, LPC-S and RPT-S

Hi! I’m Jess.

I am so glad you are here!

I know this can be a big step, and life might feel overwhelming, but I am so proud of you! I am looking forward to working right beside you on this journey and to help you put those scattered puzzle pieces of life back together in the way the best supports YOUR ReSolve.

I am an LPC-Associate under the supervision of Jessica Bright, LPC-S and RPT-S.

In case you wonder what all that means, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor at the Associate level in the state of Texas, which means I have completed a Master’s level program in counseling, a practicum, and an internship, and I am currently working towards earning the 3,000 hours of supervised practice so that I can hold a full license. My work is supervised by Jessica Bright, who serves as supervisor for my work toward my Texas licensure and in earning my credentials as a Registered Play Therapist. Essentially, ou are getting an incredible deal of 2 therapists for the price of 1!

I have an MS in Clinical Mental Health with a specialization in Trauma from Grand Canyon University, as well as a BA in Communications and a double minor in Dance and Family Studies from Belhaven University. I am currently working on my PhD in Forensic Psychology with a specialization in Legal Studies at Walden University. I am an avid, life-long learner and am constantly surprised by how much of my Forensic work influences my clinical choices.

Outside of the office, I am a (former) homeschooling mom of 5. I am a yoga instructor, a runner, and I love anything and everything Peloton (I’m a Jess Sims mixed with Christine D’Ercole with a side-eye of Cody counselor). As a child, I always wished for a Dalmatian, and it’s a dream come true to be able to include them in my practice. Cruella did her therapy dog training alongside me while I was in school and earning my program hours, so I feel like we have grown into our roles as counselors together. Luke has provided many hours of comic relief as well as being a faithful companion and I remain hopeful that Stitch can one day join the team and that he will work on his anxiety and attachment issues.

I want everyone I interact with, both personally and professionally, to embrace the truth that they are capable of things they haven’t even dreamed of yet. I hope to inspire others to take a chance on themselves to achieve their dreams and to embrace the change process required.
